7-day Classic Itinerary*:

The tour starts and finish at the train station in Lannion. We can help you with your train ticket and/or for extra days you would like to spend before or after the trip.

Day 1: Welcome to the Island!

We will pick you up at the train station in the afternoon and head to the island of Ile Grande (13km).
After you settle in Emma’s remodeled and cozy house, we will walk the coastline of the island - a wonderful way to get acquainted with this wonderful place. (5 km moderate hike).

Night: Ile Grande

Day 2: The Pink Granite Coast

We will start the day, by going to the local weekly market, which will provide the fresh fruits and vegetables, the cheese, the charcuterie for our hike and picnic.

We will then head to the Sentier des douaniers, a stunning hike along the coast, in the heart of the pink granite region. Your imagination will be triggered by breath taking views and odd shapes of the rocks. 8km, with an optional 4 extras.

Night: Ile Grande

Day 3 : Explore the north coast

We will head to the UNESCO world heritage site of Mt St Michel.
The exact itinerary will depend on the tides, as it is such a force of nature to see the water advancing in front of our eyes, (some say that it goes as fast as a horse galloping) and surrounding this big rock.
We will also immerse ourselves in the fortified city of St Malo, where part of the book “all the light we cannot see” by Anthony Doerr was written or in the medieval city of Dinan.

Night: Dinan or St Malo

Day 4: Crossing through the Heart of Brittany to the south coast

Today, we will cross through the center of Brittany, known as Kreiz Breizh, a picturesque landscape characterized by rolling hills, dense forests, and charming small towns like Josselin. In Josselin, we'll admire the impressive medieval castle overlooking the Oust River, adding a touch of historical grandeur to our visit. This tranquil region is dotted with traditional farms and expansive fields, offering a glimpse into Brittany's agricultural heritage.

Night: Carnac

Day 5: Neolitic sites of CARNAC

Today, we will visit Carnac, famous for its Neolithic alignments of over 3,000 standing stones, or menhirs, arranged in rows over several kilometers. We'll explore the Ménec, Kermario, and Kerlescan alignments. Erected around 4500 to 3300 BC, these stones might have been used for ceremonial or astronomical purposes, but their exact purpose remains a mystery.

Night: Ile Grande

Day 6: The art of Crepe making and living like a local.

We will stop by local shops for some unique products of the region and prepare our Galette and Crepe batter. We will practice Galette and Crepe making, just like a pro, learning about delicious pairing.

Depending on the tides and the weather, we might go shrimping, hiking or even kayaking.

Night: Ile Grande

Day 7:  Departure

After a farewell breakfast and a last exchange with the island, we will head to the train station of Lannion.
