This cultural journey through Brittany is a lovely way to experience the region through its ancient heritage, food traditions, and everyday rhythms. We will visit remarkable places such as Carnac, now part of a UNESCO World Heritage site, Central Brittany, where the landscape carries deep layers of history, legend, and Celtic history.
The trip is also an invitation to discover Brittany through its food culture and local life. We will visit the weekly market of the town we are in, practice with a hands-on cooking class, share a drink with a local group.
Celtic and Neolithic Heritage:
Explore the alignments of Carnac, now recognized as part of a UNESCO World Heritage site. Encounter one of Brittany’s most extraordinary ancient landscapes, where standing stones and megalithic traditions reveal the depth of the region’s prehistoric past. Discover places shaped by Celtic identity, stories that still live in the landscape, towns, and traditions of the region.
Markets, Regional Recipes & Daily Life
Wander local markets and town streets while meeting producers, artisans, and residents along the way. Wander around medieval cities like Dinan. Learn hands-on about regional recipes shaped by land, sea, and season with a class with a local chef. Experience Brittany through its food, rhythm, and everyday rituals.
The Brittany Coast
The Brittany coast is so diverse and beautiful. Walk among Brittany’s rose-colored rock formations and sea-sculpted coves. Follow coastal paths with sweeping views of islands, beaches, and tide-shaped landscapes. Experience one of Brittany’s most iconic and elemental shorelines.
Brief Day by Day itinerary:
· Day 1: Arrival in Ile Grande, explore the island. 2 miles
· Day 2: The market, the island and making Crepes – 2 miles
· Day 3: Central Brittany - 2 miles
· Day 4: Carnac, UNESCO World Heritage site– 2 to 6 miles
· Day 5: Medieval Josselin and Dinan – 2 to 4 miles
· Day 6: The Pink Granit coast – 2 to 6 miles

The tour starts and finishes at the train station in Lannion. We can help you with your train ticket and/or for extra days you would like to spend before or after the trip.
Check in: at the Lannion train station or at the house after 3pm.
