Hiking the GR 34 & Kouign Aman!*

Embark on a 7-day hiking adventure along Brittany’s iconic GR 34, the “Sentier des Douaniers.” Wander dramatic cliffs, secluded beaches, and lively fishing villages as you trace paths once guarded by customs officers. Each day delivers striking ocean views, local flavors, and breathtaking sunsets.

This tour focuses on Brittany’s maritime heritage, from the island of flowers and pink rock (Brehat) to the stunning pink granite coast, and the wild cap sizun peninsula. Enjoy scenic trails through rugged coastlines, discover ancient lighthouses and fishing towns, and connect with Breton tradition.

Nicely paired with the exercise, we will enjoy good meals and the infamous Kouign Aman, as we will stop by its birth town Douarnenez.

The Pink Granite Coast: Nature’s Masterpiece

Stroll along the breathtaking Pink Granite Coast, where massive rosy-hued rocks—sculpted by wind and waves over millennia—rise in odd shapes and towering formations. Each stone tells its own story, igniting your imagination as you explore. Discover the work of the local stoneworkers whose craft and heritage have shaped both the landscape and the community.

The Wild West Coast: Windswept Majesty

Feel the power of the Atlantic as we hike along Brittany’s rugged west coast in Finistère. Meaning “end of the earth,” the name perfectly captures this wild edge where land meets ocean. We’ll take in sweeping coastal views, breathe the salty sea air, and imagine sailors and fishermen navigating rocky passages, powerful currents, and dramatic tidal changes.

Flavors of Brittany: Crêpes, Seafood and Kouign Amann

Each day, we’ll reward our efforts with Brittany’s most loved flavors — thin, golden crêpes and galettes, or a platter of the fresht seafood. We’ll share meals in cozy, family‑run restaurants, where good food invites conversation and time slows down. This is also the land of kouign‑amann, the rich, buttery pastry born in Douarnenez, and tasting it here is part of the experience.

Cultural Encounters: Brittany Through Local Eyes

Delve into Brittany’s rich traditions and lively spirit, guided by locals whose stories add color and depth to every encounter. Along the way, connect with fellow travelers and residents alike, sharing in the region’s customs, language, and uniquely Breton way of life.

Take time to meander through vibrant markets, where locals shop for fresh produce and specialty goods each week.
