FAQ - TRAVEL TO Colombia
Q: How is this tour different from other tours?
A: This is a tour tailored for a small group, where your needs and interests are nurtured. We craft this trip, for you to understand and experience the culture, and to connect with the land. All travelers have a link to the Pacific Northwest, making connecting as a group natural. A guide will be with you during the entire trip.

Q: How do I sign up for a tour?
A: Fill out the Sign up form and send your deposit.
Q: Are flights including in the tour?
A: Flight to get to Colombia and to exit Colombia are not included. Flights and other transportation within Colombia are included.
Q: What is included in the tour?
A: Most expenses are covered on the tour, with the exception of your flight to/from Colombia, extra luggage charge for internal flight (Cabin luggage is included), couple of lunches, couple of dinners, alcoholic drinks, gifts and souvenirs.
We will pick you up and drop you off at the airport, if you arrive and depart the day of the tours, and you provide your details 30 days before the tour. Otherwise, you’ll arrange your own transfer.
Q: Are there age restrictions for this tour?
A: There is no upper age restriction, as long as you are sufficiently fit for the activities proposed. Children, older than 12 are welcomed, if they come with an accompanying adult. No kids under 12, unless you book a full tour. (5 people min).
Q: What type of room will I get?
A: If you are travelling as a couple or coming with a friend, you will get your own room, with a double or queen size bed (couples) or 2 twin beds.
As a solo traveler, you will be paired with another solo traveler of the same gender to share a room with twin beds.
As a solo traveler who wishes a private room, we have an optional, limited, extra cost, single option.
A room will either have its own bathroom, or share with one other room.
Q: WHEN will i receive the details of the tour? (like ACCOMMODATION and emergency contacts)?
A: Once you secure your spot, Emma will send you a small survey, to get to know you better, and tailor the trip to our unique group. A month before the trip, you’ll be sent a detailed itinerary, including accommodation and emergency contacts. You’ll also have the option of a virtual get together, so that you can meet the other group participants, review the itinerary and ask any questions you might have.
Q: What travel documents should i have?
A: Of course, your passport is essential. Make sure that is valid for more than 6 months after your return date. US citizens do not need a visa to travel to Colombia at this time.
Q: What vaccines and other health steps should I take?
A: You should check with your doctor. A good resource is also the Washington State Deparment of Health - Immunization for Travelers.
Q: WHat if I have dietary restrictions?
If you are vegetarian, please let us know in advance, so we can plan accordingly. For other restrictions, we will ask you for some flexibility and/or self care. Thanks for discussing those prior to the start of your trip.
